Center for Civilians in Conflict
(Washington, D.C.)
As Fundraising Counsel to CIVIC, an organization focused on civilian protection before, during, and after armed conflict (2012 and 2015), Rachel conducted training sessions with the Executive Director, Managing Director, and Development Officer. Such training consisted of guidance regarding fundraising practices and principles, prospective funding streams, board stewardship, research tools, and individual donor engagement, cultivation, and solicitation strategies. Rachel’s continued work with CIVIC has involved conducting a high-level search for the organization’s first Director of Development position while providing strategic advice on development staff structure, government and foundation grant application review and budgeting, and growth of organization’s individual major donor program.
